Yoga for Life

Being able to create life is none other than a miracle.  Being equipped for this miracle is, however, a completely different story!  Yoga during pregnancy teaches expectant mothers how to deal with an ever-changing body when hormonal fluctuation can be at its peak. Yoga For Life’s Yoga Bump programme not only prepares mums-to-be for the labor and birthing process - by training them how to use breathing and visualization techniques - but also for the emotional challenges that they may face during pregnancy.

We guide mothers on how to maintain good posture, especially during the later stages of pregnancy when the body becomes heavy and one’s centre of balance is constantly changing and by strengthening and stretching muscles, so that much of the body’s tension is alleviated.

The post –natal period can be an extremely vulnerable and fearful time, particularly for first time mothers, full of changing dynamics, an array of mixed emotions, an unrecognizable body and not to mention lack of sleep! By practicing Yoga during this time, mothers not only nurture themselves by learning how to relax, but also nurture their babies by being calm and balanced. In addition, they help their body to recover after such dramatic change and to re-gain its pre-pregnancy state with ease.
