While living in New York, Vera had been an avid runner until an ankle injury forced her to seek other means to channel her passion for exercising. Vera’s love affair with Yoga began in her very first class in 2002. Through practicing yoga, she soon learned how to better align her body to prevent injuries and continue her journey into the world of mental and physical wellness. Being raised and having worked in the metropolitan jungles of Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, Tokyo, and Beijing, Vera relies on Yoga to keep her mind focused and grounded. Yoga complements and balances every day life, opens up the body to redirect stale and negative energy into uplifting life forces. Driven by the desire to acquire knowledge beyond Yoga asanas, Vera obtained her Hatha Vinyasa teacher training license in Hong Kong to becoming more familiar with all facets of yoga. Vera’s philosophy is that each and every person is unique and has something special to offer the world. Stemming from this belief, Vera looks forward to learning from her students as much as learning from other Yoga masters. Vera believes in teaching with empathy, compassion and humility. It is her goal to spread the benefits and practice of Yoga to all her students.
